Summary

  • Add a local Codex app-server bridge that uses the signed-in Codex CLI account on the same desktop.
  • Add Settings connection verification, available-model selection, conversation history mapping, and safe read-only execution defaults.
  • Document how each person installs/signs in to Codex CLI, connects it to their own local OpenDots instance, and why this single-owner template must not be shared as a public hosted service.
  • Improve the README search summary and app title/description/social metadata around local Codex desktop use.

Verification

  • npm run build passes.
  • node_modules/.bin/tsc -p tsconfig.server.json --noEmit passes.
  • Manually verified Codex requests and persisted replies using a local signed-in account.

No Codex credential is included in the app, repository, or browser storage.

Moving this contribution to the standalone community repository Alif0x1/opendots-codex as part of removing the fork. I will reopen it from the standalone repository branch.
